CMGA Annual Events

Connecticut Master Gardener Association holds three major events every year for the benefit of CMGA members and the Master Gardener community:

* The March Symposium - our major event, held at Manchester Community College, Manchester, Connecticut. This event presents a keynote speaker, a closing speaker, and 6 additional speakers in break-out sessions during the day.
The event is primarily held for current CMGA members, who benefit by getting early advice of the upcoming symposium and discounted membership tickets. The 2015 Symposium is scheduled for March 21.

* The Summer Garden Safari- the mid-summer semi-annual membership meeting and garden tour.  Upcoming schedule is:
2015: Bethel (Fairfield County)
2016: Brooklyn (Windham County)
2017: North Haven (New Haven County)
2018: Bartlett (Stamford)
2019: Norwich (New London County)
2020: Torrington (Litchfield County)
2021: Hartford (Hartford County)
2022: Haddam (Middlesex County)
2023: Vernon (Tolland County)

* The Annual Membership Meeting, which includes a breakfast get-together, the membership meeting and election of officers to the CMGA Board, and a guest speaker. The 2015 Annual Meeting will be Nov 2 at 10am at Bartlett Arboretum.

These events - and many more of the wonderful projects carried out by Connecticut Master Gardeners - are reported on in the quarterly CMGA newsletter, The Laurel. The newsletter is mailed out to current CMGA members and MG Interns and are housed online on the Website.

More CMGA and Master Gardener outreach projects are highlighted in CMGA Projects.
