Channel 3 Kids Camp
The Channel 3 Kids Camp celebrates its 100th Anniversary this year on Times Farm Road in Andover and this is the 5th season of existence for the Teaching Gardens at the Camp. Find out what MGs and Interns have been working on in 2010.
It all started at the Cove Island Wildlife Sanctuary when mentor Sue Sweeney innocently asked, “Are there any volunteers willing to take on the little stand of phragmites by the pond as a project?” While the rest of the group of Master Gardener interns either pretended to study their plant identification samples or recited the many other projects they were involved in, find out what 3 Interns discovered....
Tolland County Intern Class 2010
The Hebrons Lions challenged Tolland County Interns to create artistic living displays of native plants in two different environments. They invite you to enjoy the results of their project at the Hebron Fairgrounds!
Middlesex County Focus Group
Members of the Middlesex County CMGA Focus Group created a display and answered questions about organic vegetable gardening, pest management, and composting at the Durham Fair. This display will be used by MGs at the Portland Fair as well.
New London County: Mystic Seaport Composting Booth
CMGA Board members and Master Composters, including Charlie Tefft (left) and Tracy Burell (right) represented the MG Program and CMGA, and discussed composting at the Mystic Seaport "Garden Days" weekend this summer.
