Goodwin Victorian Naturalist Tour Oct 16 2011

Juan Sanchez, Jr., resident education naturalist, conducted a walk for CMGA members and their guests entitled The Victorian Naturalist: A 19th Century Nature Walk. This program revisited the “country outings” that were popular during Victorian times. 19th century reference books and nature guides were brought along for our edification. It was a time when ladies and gentlemen studied orchids, birds and wild flowers (which were often collected and pressed).
The session ended with a short picnic lunch.
