  • Free admission to speakers and tours associated with the annual meeting and MANY other events.
  • A subscription to The Laurel, an exclusive quarterly publication filled with event news and information for Connecticut gardeners. New members have access to online version only (which is in full color).
  • Access to "members only" areas of the website emails about events and outreach opportunities in your area.
  • Discount Partners List - Garden centers, Nurseries, Farms - special "members only" offers and savings.
    • Why should I become a CMGA member?

As the alumni association of the UConn Extension Master Gardener Program, CMGA’s main purpose is to enable graduates of this program to learn more about gardening and related topics, and then share that knowledge with their communities through various gardening projects and horticulture programs. We also host numerous fun and educational events that allow our members to meet and associate with others who have similar interests.

Your CMGA membership dues are considered a tax-deductible charitable donation. They are used to provide grant money to fellow MGs for approved outreach activities, and to support the UConn Extension Master Gardener Program via scholarships and office stipends. Your dues payments are essential to the continued vitality of the MG program.

Visit our Grants and Scholarships page for more information.
