Leslie Alexander: State Master Gardener Coordinator
Leslie Alexander (pictured at right) is the State Master Gardener Program Coordinator, appointed by the University of Connecticut Plant Science Department.
Leslie has a strong horticultural background and much teaching experience. She received a B.S. in Biology from Framingham State College and her M.S. in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Massachusetts. She has taught middle school, high school and college level classes and presents many classes in the Master Gardener Program. Since 2005, she has been employed on a half-time basis at the UConn Home & Garden Education Center. Leslie’s full-time position is split between the Center and the Master Gardener Program.
Leslie has been extremely enthusiastic towards the Master Gardener Program and we consider ourselves very fortunate indeed to have her on board.
